ChangeLinks: The Blogs You Must Read Edition

Links to Personal Change Posts

I’ve been a very bad blogger lately by not calling attention to some great work that is going on out in the personal and organizational change blogosphere. Here are a few articles on a few great blogs that you should definitely subscribe to and read regularly.

25 Ways Project People Can Train Their Mental Flexibility Bas de Baar writes Project Shrink, which I consider required reading for anyone who manages projects or people. This post is a great list of ways to increase your mental flexibility, and you don’t even have to be a project manager to use the suggestions! It also nicely accompanies my own post, 10 Ways to Stay Mentally Nimble.

Don’t be a Sellout: A Guide to Staying Real Jonathan Mead of Illuminated Mind has really taken off, partly because of his great guest posts over at Zen Habits. This is a great post about being authentic (something I’ve struggled with recently!).

The Seven Decisions – Number 1 The Wealthy Attitude blog is a great source of inspiration and thought-provoking ideas. The just concluded Seven Decisions series really challenges the reader to take responsibility for their his or her own life. I’ve linked to the first post, but encourage you to read through the entire series.

Beware of ‘Shoulds’ That Are Not Right For You Caroline Middlebrook has become pretty well known in the make-money-blogging niche, but she has recently started Life Should Feel GOOD!, where she shares a lot of her personal development journey. I think it’s amazing that she can be so open about her life and so generous in helping others. This post gives a great list of reasons that you should set goals that YOU want to achieve, not ones that are socially acceptable.

Introducing Something New: Part I Steve Roesler writes the great human resources blog All Things Workplace. His 2 part series about introducing changes and new ideas into the workplace has lots of great suggestions for not triggering employee resistance to changes. A lot of his ideas are similar to those I discussed with Jef Staes in my interview with him.

I’m always looking for great content related to personal and organizational change. If you come across any posts, videos, audio recordings or books that you think I might find interesting, feel free to send suggestions to maria (at) neverthesamerivertwice (dot) com.
