I'm new to 4HWW and came across your posts to help me understand the realistic applications of the book (from a 3rd party).

I'm still piecing all the concepts together but I really really wish the dishes would put themselves into the washer, remove and stack themselves, and that the laundry would magically get sorted, washed (coin-op option only, here), and folded without my coming near them. And without spending a fortune on outsourcing at the laundromat.

You seem to have minimized those chores by batching ... so were you super meticulous with time tracking when you decided to try out 4HWW? How do you avoid distractions / ADD?

[...] So if you looove to mow your lawn, but HATE scrubbing the bathtub, hire a cleaner. (I’ve done this myself.) I know that you have lots of reasons to avoid doing this. You think it’s expensive [...]

@PreSchool Mama - you could also try googling "online transcription service" for some leads. I think a lot of them are based on voice record, where you phone in. You might also be able to fax handwritten notes.

@PreSchool Mama: what about voice recognition software? A blogger I read who is paralyzed mentioned that he can speak his thoughts and the program does a good job of typing it out.

AmyL's last blog post..A Good Reason to Keep Kids in the Backseat

@PreSchool Mama - great comments. It would be great if you could share more of your experiences of outsourcing on your blog.

@Cindy - I've thought about the Roomba, but it's had such mixed reviews. If I can find a used one, I may go for it, but it's a little pricey to get new.
