I just got back from a great vacation in Phoenix, AZ. The desert there is beautiful in a way that is completely different from the area of Western Michigan that I live in.

One of the things I love most about traveling is the opportunity to see all of the different landscapes our planet has to offer. I take a lot of landscape photographs and have a rotating collection that put up on walls wherever and whenever I might need a morale boost.

If you’re finding that your home decorations are getting a bit stale, take a little time to put up a photograph or postcard of a beautiful place. You don’t even have to frame it. Just use some double-sided tape or an old fashioned glue stick to mount it on a bit of cardboard if that’s all you have available.

I haven’t printed any photos from Arizona yet, so I’ve dug through my souvenirs from last summer’s trip to St. Barts in the French Caribbean. This is a photo I took from the balcony of my rental house:

A view like that can lift the spirits any time.
