ChangeLinks #2
Welcome to the new and improved ChangeLinks, now with a spiffy graphic! In this category, I post links to other blog posts and websites that provide good information related to change.
Plain Advice wrote Learning Through Failure, which shares the harrowing tales of learning to wakeboard and riding a bike without training wheels. This post also makes the very good point that “with each failure comes a powerful opportunity to learn.” It’s a good thing to keep in mind when our change processes are going more slowly than we’d like.
Lyndon Antcliff shares Ten Quick Tips to Improve Your Self-Esteem. Usually when I’m feeling down on myself, I just shout, “Stop whining you pansy!” over and over again at my reflection in the mirror (kidding… maybe). However, #2, “Help others out,” also works pretty well.
HassleMe is a great site for those of us that are REALLLY into the Four Hour Workweek. It lets you outsource your nagging! Just enter your email address and what you want to be nagged about and HassleMe will hen-peck you into submission.
And last, but certainly not least, Seth Godin gives us the following quote:
“Most organizations need a good reason to do something new.
All they need is a flimsy excuse to not do something for the first time.
And they often need a lawsuit to stop doing something they’re used to.”
